Our project is called Insanity and You. We did research on sociopathic traits and conducted a survey essentially asking people how they feel on certain topics, which are related to sociopathy. We asked people how they feel about manipulation, self-esteem, and lying to evaluate if they possess sociopathic traits. We got 34 responses.
Generally, most of the respondents seemed unsure/neutral about their responses. On questions like "If you were to hurt someone's feelings, do you feel remorse and or guilty?" most of the answers were unsure because 70% of respondents answered 'depends on the situation.' On the other hand, on questions like "Are you an anxious person?" we received very sure answers, as 38% of the respondents answered 5 on a scale of 5, and 26% answered 4 on a scale of 5. Ultimately, most of the respondents do not seem to exhibit sociopathic traits as the majority of respondents answers came out to be the opposite of sociopaths. Only a minority of respondents seem to exhibit sociopathic traits.
Knowing the research we did and how we analyzed the information, this can help us as a super power. It can help us notice sociopathic traits in others as we're talking to them, and also keep ourselves in check.
